of closet space, a full-size washer and dryer,
individually controlled heating and air
conditioning, nine foot ceilings, maple
cabinets, wall-to-wall carpeting, a terrace or
balcony and a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen.
Two bedroom units start at $1,270 per month for
1,012 square feet; larger units (one bedrooms
with 997 square feet and two bedrooms with 1,327
square feet) rent for more per month. All
units are located in one elevator-served building

Evergreen's amenities include a heated
outdoor pool and whirlpool spa, a club room with
a large screen television, a billiards room, a
business center, a golf putting green, garden
spaces and covered parking. The
monthly rent also includes coordinated social
and recreational activities, snow removal, lush
landscaping and water usage; utilities are
extra. All units are cable ready;
Internet access is available through the
business center.
Fredericksburg (population 20,000) was once
the home of Revolutionary War hero John Paul
Jones and President James Monroe.
Residents enjoy the 40-block historic district,
known as Old Town, and its more than 350
buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries,
including the homes of George Washington's
sister and mother, as well the 1852 courthouse
designed by James Renwick. Shopping,
museums, restaurants and historic battlefields
are all nearby, as is the Rappahannock River and
its boating opportunities.
Washington, D.C. is less than a hour to the
northeast and provides all of the big city
amenities one would expect.
The climate in this part of the world brings
summer temperatures in the 70s and 80s, and
winter temperatures in the 20s and 30s; humidity
averages 65%. The city receives 3 to 4
inches of precipitation per month and the sun
shines 50% to 60% of the time.
Fredericksburg has a crime rate very close to
the national average. Mary Washington
Hospital is the primary health care facility.
